Keep yourself in the comfort zone on your next caravanning adventure with these caravan tips for your shower.
The most important thing is that you don’t forget your towel! A suction-cup towel ring will stick just about anywhere and keep your towel in a familiar place, always within reach. Better than a hook you might catch yourself on, a ring will sit flush against the wall when not in use and unlike a towel rack, it doesn’t require much space which is so often at a premium during caravan travel adventures.
Wherever you need it, whenever you need it, just like the trusty 4×4 that tows your caravan to and fro, a suction-cup shower-caddy will be there to hold your soaps, shampoos, toothbrushes, and toothpaste. Soft and rubbery, it won’t hurt if you accidentally bump it, and it’s both waterproof and easily washed.
A shower can be slippery and a caravan shower is no different. Keep your family upright while living the caravan lifestyle and invest in a shower mat. Make sure you’ve got your feet on the ground and that you’re only seeing stars when camping beneath them.
You’ll need a mirror if you need to shave, apply cream, or check that sunburn you got relaxing by the water. Given the mobile nature of caravans, you’ll probably want a non-glass variety that won’t shatter on those rough bumps when going off-road in Queensland’s national parks. Travel is meant to be fun, and you should spend it visiting caravan parks and cooking outdoors, not visiting emergency rooms because someone got seven years of bad luck when the mirror cracked.
An easy one to overlook but nonetheless essential. When your shower starts dripping, when the taps start leaking, when the seals crack from the extreme temperature changes of the Australian outback, you’re going to need to service your shower. You sure don’t want to be bathing in Australia’s infamous croc-infested waters, so don’t forget to pack a shower service kit!
